Meat Grinder

Time to design a platformer! Thinking back to 2D platforming, and making it original, is bit difficult considering it is one of the oldest genres. For inspiration, I looked to Super Meat Boy, the first Crash Bandicoot, Thomas was Alone, and just my own mental catalog. I've played a LOT of platformers, but always preferred 3D over 2D, probably because of my age.

I want to make a difficult, but not frustrating level. I also like the idea of constantly jumping, I don't think extended runs work well with basic 2D platformers unless they serve some narrative prupose.
Another thing I wanted to add was moving platforms, falling platforms, and an illusion of depth. Every time you get on one of the 246 unit long moving platforms, it sends you back into space, rather than simply up.

The theme of the level is inspired by Super Meat Boy, in title only, it is simply a meat grinder. The spiked ceiling blocks, rotating platforms, and conveyer belt like navigation through the level should make the player feel like they need to get the out of there as fast as possible.
