My game needs a theme... while I don't have the game 100% thought out, the core mechanic is there: Getting to the other side of the play space in one whole piece (several pieces would be more accurate) and avoiding conflict. The first thing that comes to mind is stealth, so I need to fit my theme around that.
Concept Statement:
Better to remain unseen and unheard than risk all out warfare.
Art Style:
Two opposing teams of spies try to sneak into each others base undetected. I want the art to highlight the ridiculousness of this situation. The spies need to seem well equipped and well trained, yet just inept enough for players to feel the need to help them. My game has multiple player piece types, which enables me to give each team a few different spy archetypes.
